Pour chicken or vegetable broth into a medium-size saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
When the broth is very hot, put in the pastina and stir it slowly. This will stop it from sticking to the pot.
Make the heat low and put a lid on the pot. Cook the pastina for about ten minutes or until it is soft enough for you. Stir it sometimes.
Taste and season the pastina according to your own tastes – remembering to adjust seasoning carefully since broth already contains salt.
When the pastina finishes cooking, remove it from the heat and strain out any excess liquid using a strainer.
Step 4: Serve and Garnish
Transfer cooked pastina to a serving dish or individual bowls and toss gently.
Put some olive oil on it and mix it gently. Put more oil if you need to until it is all over the pasta.
If you want, add some cheese on top of your pasta. It will make it creamy and yummy!
Finish by topping the pastina off with chopped fresh parsley for an added splash of color and freshness.
Serve this comforting treat hot for maximum pleasure!

Notes
Variations to add in Pastina Recipe
Sauté vegetables such as mushrooms, bell peppers or zucchini before adding into pasta for additional flavor and nutrients.
You can put more meat or protein in this yummy food. When the pastina is almost ready, add cooked chicken, shrimp or sausage.
You can change how your pastina tastes. Add different green leaves or spicy things like basil, oregano or red pepper flakes.
Tips for Pastina Recipe
Be mindful of your cooking time and check on its tenderness frequently in order to prevent overcooking of pastina.
If too much broth evaporates too rapidly during the cooking process, add extra broth or water so the pastina cooks evenly.
To add creaminess, try stirring in some extra butter or cream at the end of cooking.
You can keep left pastina. Put it in a closed box in the cold place for three days. You can make it hot on the stove or in the microwave. Add soup or water so it doesn’t get dry.
